Kwara Gov, Speaker, Emir of Ilorin, NUJ hail appointment of Hajia Binta as new GM of Radio Nigeria Harmony FM Idofian
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has hailed the appointment of Hajia Binta Abubakar-Mora as the new General Manager of Radio Nigeria Harmony FM Idofian, Kwara State.
Governor AbdulRazaq in his congratulatory message to the Kwara-born media administrator commended Binta’s commitment to duty and her professionalism.
“Hajia Binta Mora is a good fit for the top job, given her commitment to duty, her professionalism and experience, and her people skills”
“Hajia Binta Mora will take the radio station to a new height, commending her predecessors for their great contributions to the successes of the media house over the years”, according to a statement issued on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye.
The Governor Abdulrazaq prays to God to grant Hajia Binta Mora the wisdom and good health to excel in her new role.
Similarly, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu also sent hearty congratulations to the newly appointed General Manager of the Radio Nigeria Harmony FM Idofian, Hajia Binta Abubakar-Mora describing the appointment as a round peg in a round hole.
“Hajia Binta as a thoroughbred, eloquent broadcast journalist and professional media manager who has paid her due as a member of the third estate of the realm” Rt. Hon. Engr. Danladi-Salihu stated in a statement issued on Saturday.
The Speaker expressed hope that the Kaiama-born media administrator would bring her experiences and expertise spanning three decades across Television and Radio stations to bear in taking harmony FM to the next level of uplifting the people and uniting the nation.
Also, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Hajia Binta Mora Abubakar, on her appointment as the General Manager of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Harmony FM, Idofian.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, who expressed confidence in her ability to lead the Radio Station to recording more achievements, stated this in a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona.
The Emir thanked the outgoing General Manager, Mr. Wahab Akoshile, for the support given to all palace activities during his tenure and wished him success in his new assignments.
And the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated its Vice Chairman, Hajia Fatimah Binta Abubakar Mora, on her appointment as the General Manager of Harmony 103.5 FM, Idofian, describing it as well-deserved recognition of her dedication and professionalism.
In a statement signed by the Chairman, Ahmed ‘Lanre Abdullateef, and Secretary, Mahmood Olayinka Alaya, the Union expressed its satisfaction with Mora’s choice, noting that her colossal experience in television and radio broadcasting made the appointment apposite and timely.
The NUJ expressed confidence that she would bring her wealth of knowledge and leadership skills to bear in enhancing the station’s operations, programming, and overall impact on the media landscape in Kwara State and beyond.
The Union also offered prayers for Allah’s wisdom, guidance, and strength for Hajia Mora as she embarks on this new phase, urging her to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical journalism.
Hajia Binta Abubakar-Mora, a Civil Engineer turned journalist cut her teeth in the Journalism profession at the Kwara Television Authority before moving to Radio Nigeria as one it’s golden voices on network news.
A former Chairperson of the Kwara State Nigeria Association of Women Journalists and the current Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in the state, Hajia Binta has attended media and journalism courses, seminars and workshops in Nigeria and abroad.
