Danladi @40: Chief Imam Leads other clerics in Prayers for Kwara Assembly Speaker

The Chief Imam of Gambari, Sheikh Sulaiman Abdulazeez Al-Gambari, on Saturday, led procession for a special prayers in commemoration of the 40th birthday anniversary of the Speaker of the 9th and 10th Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu.

The event was organized by friends, colleagues and supporters of the Speaker, at the his official residence in Ilorin, the Kwara state Capital, with crème de la crème in Kwara political space across the three senatorial districts of state.

The spiritual highlight of the event was further enriched by an insightful lecture delivered by Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Folorunsho Sadam, a prominent Ilorin born legal luminary, Islamic preacher and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin.

During the prayer session, Imam Gambari of Ilorin, Sheikh Sulaiman and the accompanying Ulamah fervently sought divine guidance, wisdom, humility and long life for the Speaker Danladi-Salihu.

Barrister Sadam, in his compelling lecture, offered a profound characterization of the celebrant, applauding Rt. Hon. Danladi-Salihu as a man possessing a remarkable humility, simplicity and receptive attitude, coupled with an unwavering optimism for the future of Kwara’s youth which the Speaker’s leadership exhibition has advanced.

Barrister Sadam’s remarks resonated with the attendees, emphasizing the Speaker’s dedication to his constituents and his reliance on divine direction. He prayed for Allah to continue guiding the Speaker on the righteous path, acknowledging his significant contributions to Kwara state socioeconomic and political developments.

The celebration saw a substantial turnout, among which are the State party Chairman, Prince Sunday Adeniran Fagbemi, past and present members of the 9th and 10th Assemblies, Local Government Executive Chairmen, Commissioners, Advisers and Special Assistants to the Governor, as well as party elders and prominent political stalwarts across the 16 local governments of the State.

In a personal statement by Rt. Hon. Danladi-Salihu on Sunday, he expressed profound humility and gratitude. “I want to most sincerely thank my leader and the Executive Governor of our dear Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON for celebrating my 40th birthday on the 31st day of May, His Excellency’s wishes, goodwill and commendation give me impetus to keep doing my best.
