The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has responded to the challenge thrown at him by President Bola Tinubu on ensuring the quick completion of the Abuja metro line.
President Tinubu had on Sunday charged Wike to ensure the Abuja metro line is completed as soon as possible.
The President who gave the charge while speaking at the Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), in Abuja stressed the importance of the project, saying that he wants to ride on the Abuja metro line and urged him to ensure he delivers on the project for the greater good of Nigerians.
“I could see our chief host, the landlord of Abuja. Stick at it, I want to ride on your metro line.
“If I ask for free land, don’t give me, but deliver the metro line for the good and greatest number of Nigerians.” President Tinubu said.
Responding via his Twitter handle, Wike assured the President that the Abuja metro line would surely come back to life for the good of the people.
Sharing a video of the President’s charge to him, the Minister wrote: “For the good and the greatest number of Nigerians, the Abuja Rail Mass Transit Metro will surely come back to life.”
