Kwara Legislative Aides back Gov AbdulRazaq, Speaker Danladi’s leadership styles, Seek Higher Offices

The Legislative Aides in the Kwara State House of Assembly, under the SYD Grassroots Mobilization Team, have expressed their desire for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Speaker Salihu Yakubu Danladi to continue their positive impacts and exceptional leadership skills on the state even after their current offices

This was highlighted during an interfaith prayer session held at the Ilorin West Charlet, Fate, Ilorin, on Sunday, organized by the SYD Grassroots Mobilization Team.

The team emphasized that the synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government has yielded positively, driving human and infrastructural development across the state.

The interfaith prayer session brought together Pastors, Imams, executive Chairmen, state lawmakers, ward councilors, and numerous APC loyalists seeking God’s guidance and higher offices for these individuals for the betterment of Kwarans

Leading the prayer were the CAN Chairmen of Oke-Ero and Ekiti Local Governments respectively, Pastor Gideon Babatunde Yekeen and Pastor Kenneth Adegoke and the Chief Imam of Surulere, Alhaji Abdulqaudri AbdulSalam.

Speaking with the Chief Coordinator of the SYD Grassroots Mobilization Team, Comrade Dada Sunday, said the SYD Mobilization Team is made up of the Legislative Aides to all the serving Honorable members of the Kwara State House of Assembly.

He explained that their closeness to the lawmakers, led by Speaker Danladi, gave them a unique perspective on his qualities and enabled them to prayerfully wish him continued success and a future platform to showcase his leadership on a larger scale.

“Being the closest persons to the honorable members, especially working under the leadership of Speaker Yakubu Danladi, we consider ourselves as primary ambassadors who should be able to tell the people more about the good leadership qualities and the prowess which the speaker has brought to legislative leadership in Kwara State.

“Because of this, we decided to come together and form this group that we called SYD (Saliu Yakubu Danladi Grassroots Mobilization Team and the essence of our coming together is to let Kwarans know about the leadership qualities and what diverse development that the present administration in the state under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the partnership of the 10th Assembly has brought to Kwara.

“We are all living witnesses to the human and infrastructural development that are ongoing across the 193 wards of Kwara State and we can all testify that we have never had it so good in the annal of Kwara history.

“So we have come together, to seek the face of God, to pray for continuation of this kind of leadership in the state. We want to thank God for how far he has led us through these individuals, and we seek more of God’s enablement on them.

“We are even praying to God to give them more enablement for them to attain more leadership roles so that their roles in bringing development to Kwara State will not seize in the days to come.

We are also living witnesses to what the Speaker has been doing, you can imagine having different honorable members, 24 across the state, with different views, different individuals bring up and he’s able to lead the 24 of them without any crisis or hitch, he is able to partner with the executive without any hitch, we have never had it so good in Kwara.

“We heard of crisis, divisions in other states within the rank of the assembly members but this has never been the case in Kwara. So you should know that Yakubu Saliu Danladi has possessed a special quality that has enabled this to be, that has fostered that unity which Kwara is known for.

“This harmonious relationship should not be seen as rubber-stamped which the opposition used to tag it. It is the collaboration that is expected to foster growth and development.

So having good collaboration is the reason for this development we are recording in Kwara. Ilorin is having a new look and now a modern city, a city being built by our able governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and he’s able to achieve this because he has a good relationship with the legislature.

“We are not particular about any political position and we are not tagging ourselves to a particular aspiration for now but we want to seek the face of God to allow these individuals to continue to steer leadership roles in the state. They have done wonderfully well and we want this to continue.

“We in the assembly have seen the speaker but we want the public to see him in a larger light” he said.
